Mindfulness Is Not An Act

Sharing a state of being is ineffable.  The best one can do is point; and perhaps the observer won’t focus on the finger.

Mindfulness is not an act, although it is entered into, through action.  It is inherently neutral.  It is neither positive nor negative, good or bad; what occurs, simply is. The value is assigned by the perceiver.

“Mindfulness” is a symbol representing or communicating essence.  A pointer to an egoless state from which action arises, appropriate to the moment.

You are not being kind; you are kindness itself. You are not being compassionate; you are compassion. You are not being violent, you are violence.

A monk may be mindful. A nurse may be mindful. An athlete may be mindful. A sniper may be mindful.

How does one become mindful?  It cannot be created, it occurs naturally. However, you can create the space-time continuum for it to occur within. Then one day, without warning, you will become plainly aware you were just in a state of mindfulness.  You will instantly recognize the state you have already experienced numerous times in your life.

The End
